Food delivery and remote-site catering

Plan for transport, packaging, cold-chain interruptions and remote logistics.

Protect food throughout transport

Use suitable packaging, transport hygiene, temperature controls and a clear handover procedure. Plan how staff respond to damaged packaging, tampering concerns, delays or an incorrect delivery. Record and escalate incidents.

Remote operations need contingency planning

Bulk catering and long supply routes require careful receiving, storage, potable-water arrangements, workforce illness controls and emergency food supplies. Check what can be monitored at every stage and what happens when normal supplies or equipment are unavailable.

Do not improvise safety limits

Use the control limits and procedures that are applicable to your food, equipment and operation. Uncertain delivery history or interrupted refrigeration needs a defined decision and escalation process—not an assumption that food is safe.
